The project began when Nomad Cold Brew Coffee approached us with a new product idea — a Coffee in Bag series. The name Nomad instantly opened a world of imagery: wanderers moving quietly through vast spaces, untethered by destination but guided by curiosity and presence. From that idea, we built the visual narrative titled “Wanderers of the World.”
Each illustration follows a silent traveler through dreamlike landscapes — across the cosmos scattered with drifting stars, into ancient forests where only the moon keeps watch, and over northern plains swept by cold wind beneath the aurora light. Each scene connects to a coffee type — Espresso, Cold Brew, and Vietnamese Phin — all set under the same quiet night sky. The tone is calm, contemplative, and distant, yet emotionally grounded.
The series is hand-drawn with graphite pencil on art paper, embracing the imperfections of texture and the softness of each mark. The grain of the paper and the dust of the pencil became part of the mood, echoing the hazy calm of twilight and the introspection of travel. This tactile quality was essential to capture the emotional depth that digital render often misses — a sense of time, stillness, and breath within the line itself.
For the final packaging, the illustrations are placed at the heart of the design. Each label is treated as a detachable tag, inviting the viewer to read, keep, or simply hold on to as a small piece of art. The coffee bag is made of silver metallic material, chosen to mirror the night tones of the drawings and to catch light in subtle ways, giving the whole series a quiet luminosity.
At its core, Wanderers of the World is a reflection on travel, time, and the in-between spaces — told through pencil, paper, and the slow rhythm of a wandering line.
